Ideally you want to join server that is nearly full so it will start soon. Sometimes the server will get stuck and people will start leaving so keep an eye on the crew rosters. This is very important for galleon lobbies as the server will try to populate 5 crews for 20 people total. If there are not many people in the server and it is not filling up then leave.

When in an arena lobby, keep an eye on the number of people in your crew and in other crews (ESC->Other Crews). just let them do their thing and go farm the chest. This can either be a blessing or a curse. or people wearing the gold curse and dressed in rags.

If you see things like matching clothing.

Size up your opponents during the lobby based on their cosmetics and titles.

In Sloop Arena, the Chest is quite valuable.

The thousand point loss is worth not giving your opponent 3000 points.

If you are ever getting camped or farmed.

keeping it alive longer and thus giving you more points. then shoot the rear endlessly while they bail their ship. throwing Blunderbombs or Firebombs at the enemy mast counts as a cannonball hit. to douchebags so foul and egotistical that you'd rather have a conversation with a used condom than interact with them at ALL. they range from some of the nicest and most knowledgeable people you'll ever meet.

The TDM community is one of the most bipolar communities in Sea of Thieves.

Do not cannon each others ships, nobody wants to sail all the way back here because you're a prick.

they WILL drop what they're doing, gang up on you, and spawn kill you while being as Toxic as possible for as long as they can. If you roll up to them and start blasting cannons. do not interact with or interrupt the TDM.

If you are not going to participate in the TDM.

Sword users, even good ones, are typically looked down on.

Players will Launch out of their cannons and proceed to kill all enemy crews.

Ignore the chest and pretty much all else.

Everyone doing a TDM should go to a nearby Fort and park.

This is a cultural thing and not designed at all.

There is a thing called TDM (Team Death Match) in Arena.

You can usually just grab 3 other people in any LFC of your choosing and knock those out quick

Musical Sea Dog and A Toast to the Sea Dogs is fairly easy to get since you don't actually have to play a match.

The GSD Shovel can be used in Adventure to fulfill the Sea Dog Seeker commendation.

Galleon Arena has abysmal queue times, so Sloop Arena is better for your sanity.
